Cardinal Bertone, shame on you!

post What Was I'd like to write on the site of ; Italy’s national gay rights organisation about the horrible words that cardinal Bertone, Vatican's second-highest authority, said about the suppost relationship between omosexuality and paedophilia.

For who doesn't know, cardinal Bertone said that ''many psychologists and psychiatrists have demonstrated that there is no relation between celibacy and paedophilia. But many others have demonstrated, I have been told recently, that there is a relation between homosexuality and paedophilia”.

I have no words to comment the words of this man, a man who is supposed to preach love and tolerance.

The equation between homosexuality and paedophilia is a false, despicable and anti-scientific statement that affects the lives and dignity of millions of gay and lesbian people. It confirms the cynicism and cruelty of the Vatican hierarchies , which have covered sex crimes committed by members of the church for years throughout the world against thousands of innocent boys and girls.

Of those brutally raped bodies, of those destroyed childhoods, the Catholic church bears a full and shameful responsibility . It will not be by trying to divert the attention from its glaring contradictions and its inner conspiracy of silence that the Vatican will escape a firm sentence for its sexual abuses, which have already been widely reported worldwide against paedophile priests.

"We are outraged by Bertone’s words in Chile: the Catholic church must not attempt to get rid of its sins to the detriment of innocent people . It should rather wonder about its lack of humanity" - said Paolo Patanè, Chairman of Arcigay, the Italian Lesbian and Gay Association.

Love Mode: mission completed

Today I received the packet that contained the Love Mode volume 10 I ordered two weeks ago on bookdepository.

Finally my collection Love Mode, which began more than a year ago, is complete!

I never thought of being able to put my claws on the notorious and super exhausted vol 10, much less hoping for a reprint, given the precarious economic conditions of the British publishing house.

Besides, I realized that he had returned only by chance: I was browsing this site , by force of habit, I tried "love mode 10" and ... surprise! Was available.

Frankly, I thought a mirage, a figment of my warped mind, especially as I had asked to be notified by mail if he came back in stock, but I had no mail received any.

So I ran to check on amazon.co.uk as well: here was the manga, but there were only 5 copies.

course I'm back and I ordered bookdepository on the fly and, equally obviously, within two days that the volume had returned out of stock.

And while waiting for delivery according to the biblical times of the Italian post office, I thought about why, suddenly, they did that a few copies.

At first I thought that the site had confused the English version with the German and that I would come, but since this has not happened (thanks, oh god sums of yaoi !) you probably want to deal with stock funds. I doubt it is a reprint:

1) I do not think a publisher Reprint only 5 copies

2) the first pages are glossy and color, which I know from experience, does not happen in the reprints of other manga by the same publisher (type Junjou Romantica)

3) the volume was only available on two sites nominated, but not on amazon several scattered throughout the globe, not to mention sites Italian I prefer to draw a merciful veil.

And then I left to do is raise praises and sacrifices of various kinds to the aforementioned god of yaoi for once have laid their eyes on the benevolent signed my booklet and enjoy dancing in front of the yaoi section of my library.
